Automatic Blog Rehasher…

WP Autoblogging Software

rock3 300x224 Automatic Blog Rehasher...I was surfing Digg for the search term “automatic blog” when I saw a post that had been “dugg” 28 times.

Thinking how strange this was, since 2-3 diggs was the norm, I had check out this post. What could the author possibly have written on “automatic blogging” that would generate that kind of response.

The article was titled, “Automatic Blog Rehasher”.

When I read it,  I could see why and more importantly “how” it got so many diggs.  (You’ll see why when you read it).

The author posed the question, does good content matter anymore in the blogosphere?

The article is about rehashed content and its common use and increasing acceptance in the blogosphere. I agree that rehashed, garbage content offers little value to the reader and for the most part it is generally unintelligible.

Years ago (much less today), online marketers, mostly spammers, used software to scrape content from other sites to create hundred or even thousands of sites around specific keywords. While it still occurs, it is no where as common as it used to be.

This rift is between blogging purists and marketers who use blogs.  I think the real issue is purpose, which I addressed in my post titled, Automatic Blogs, Why So Controversial?

I draw a distinction between rehashed content and content that is automatically generated from article directories or other credible sources and that credits the source with appropriate attribution, i.e., includes a link back to article source and author’s bio box.

I suggest that you read Automatic Blog Rehasher for yourself at Hunter Nutthall.com and draw your own conclusion.

When you’re done, leave a comment and let me know why you think the article got so many diggs…

I’ll be blogging about that in a day or so.

Automatic Blogging: Advantages For Affiliate Marketers

WP Autoblogging Software

If you are an affiliate marketer and you want to learn how to increase your commissions using blogs, then you’ll want to read this article. Specifically I’ll discuss how automatic blogging can increase blog traffic, increase SERP and increase profits.

It is common knowledge that blogs, especially WordPress blogs, rank well in Google. The main reason is that blogs unlike static websites are updated with fresh content on a regular basis. This is primarily because blogs are so easy to set up and maintain. Moreover, if you use WordPress as your blogging platform, with the right plugins, it’s fairly easy to optimize your blog for the Google search engine and get your blog posts indexed quickly. (In fact I’ve had posts indexed as fast as 20 minutes).

These facts make blogs an excellent platform for Affiliate Marketers.

But how can automatic blogging increase your commissions? Here’s how. Many affiliate marketers set up blogs just before a product launch hoping to take advantage of fast indexing in Google typically using the product name or a variation such as productname-dot-com/productname-review-dot-com or some variation etc. as their main keyword. This works well, especially if you add various web 2.0 techniques to bookmark your site. However, content is still king.

A careful look at some of the top ranking blogs during product launches reveals that there is more going on behind the scenes.

Using a tool such as SEO Quake (a free Firefox plugin that I highly recommend) reveals that in order to maintain the initial high ranking, you have to also have more than just one page of content. Your SERP in Google is highly dependent on backlinks (internal and external) pointing to your domain name. The object is not just to get your blog indexed quickly, but to get it to stick on page 1 of Google even amid rabid competition and the various shenanigans Google plays (Google Slaps, Google Dance, etc.)

One way to achieve that is to use automatic blogging software to generate content that is related to your blog theme. For example, if you are selling a product about Traffic Generation, then in addition to your product review page, you should add content that is generally related to generating traffic. As this content is added to your blog, you can edit the posts and add links back to your main page (which is usually set up as a static page).

Additionally, it is important to backlink to the internal pages of your site and not just the main page. It’s only natural that a site with quality content would have links to individual posts and not just the main review or sales page. Using social bookmarking sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Propeller etc. you can bookmark individual posts (that are linked to your static page [main page] which builds site reputation).

Each time the search engines spider your site, they will see added content relevant to the main theme of the blog with backlinks to your main page. This increases SERP and makes your site sticky. Why? Because Google rewards content rich sites. When you combine this with other backlink techniques you will achieve high SERP and your site will be firmly embedded on page 1.
