Autoblogging Software & Autoposting?

Recently in the Warrior Forum, I had an opportunity to comment on a topic that is sometimes controversial when it comes to autoblogging software; the difference between autoblogging software that pulls content and posts automatically vs autoblogging software that simply posts content such as PLR articles. The issue arose around the Super Auto Blogger System recently released as a WSO.

Here’s the comment…

This would be a great deal if it really were an auto blogging plugin. But if I understand this correctly, you have to supply the content in advance, which makes this an auto POSTING plugin. Autoblogging pulls fresh content from other sites and keeps doing it. Auto posting just fills your site with your own old content, trying to make it look fresh. To see why this is an important difference, which would you rather see on a website: today’s weather forecast, or some PLR weather forecast that was written 2 years ago and scheduled to be published today? Auto posting has its place. But let’s not try to fool people that this is auto blogging, ok?

Here is my response…

The main function of autoblogging software is to do the heavy lifting when it comes to generating content. The term autoblogging is inclusive of both auto-content generation (i.e. autoblogging software that pulls content from Article Directories, RSS feeds, Yahoo Answers, YouTube, Amazon, eBay, Clickbank, etc.) and auto posting software that posts PLR or other articles on a set or random schedule. The concept/functionality of Super Auto Blogger is not new. There have been several programs that do the same thing, namely “auto-post” PLR (.txt) files and schedule them for posting at some point in the future. For example, Instant Blog Feeder. In this sense, it is an “auto-blog”, because the user is not manually posting content!

Advantages of this Autoblogging Software?

There are several advantages to this kind of plugin. You have a lot more control over the content posted.

1. With PLR you can rewrite the content manually.
2. You can spin PLR articles using one of the many article spinning software programs.
