Choosing The Right Autoblogging Software
Wow… it seems like every UBER Guru under the sun has launched an autoblogging software system in the last couple of months. Let’s see…
Popular Autoblogging Products launched in 2010:
Auto Blog Samurai from Paul Ponna
Auto Blog System X – Rob Benwell (actually a guide, not software)
Stealth Traffic Machines- Chris Freville
Blog Blueprint – Autoblogging 3.0 – Jason Potash & Jason Katzenback
Factors To Consider With Autoblogging Software
- Cost
- Ease of Use
- Support
- Content Source
Content Source
All autoblogging software programs pull content from 3rd party sources – RSS feeds or Article Directories. Some let you loadand post PLR articles.
The diversity of content available depends largely on your niche/market. For example, if you are autoblogging in a niche that is fairly well known, (i.e. dog training, golf, weight loss) “evergreen” markets, there will always be plenty of content available from RSS & Article directories.
On the other hand if you are autoblogging to a very tight niche, you might be hard pressed to find RSS feeds with enough content being generated to support your autoblogging efforts.
Cost
Cost is nearly always a factor in deciding on autoblogging software. Most of the recent autoblogging products have base prices that range from $47-$67. There are of course up-sell and down-sells as enticements.
My philosophy is that whatever product I purchase, I plan on making back my investment in the first 30 days of using it. If I cannot achieve that, after giving it an honest try – time for a refund.
Now I rarely ask for refunds, because I’m selective in the products I purchase and I use them all.
In fact, I use multiple autoblogging programs depending on the niche or market.
A word about FREE autoblogging plugins. Nothing in life is really FREE! There is always some trade-off; either in functionality or support. Recently the creators of a free WordPress plugin, WP-Fetch, just stopped supporting it. When I contacted them about the product, their reply was simply that they were developing another product.
Support
Make sure there is a support portal with the autoblogging software/system you purchase. If you encounter a problem good support teams respond within 24 hours or less and get back to you with a solution within 48 hours. Keep in mind that with software there are always unexpected hiccups. Search engines change their algorithms, login pages change, password access gets updated. A good product developer accounts for this and will promptly send out updates (either via email to their buyers or automatically through server hosted software.)
Ease of Use
There is no sense in owning autoblogging software that requires an engineering degree from MIT in order to operate it. Remember the main purpose of buying autoblogging software is to automate and save time. If you’re spending time tweaking and tinkering with the software to get it to work, you’re wasting your time (this was my issue with Stealth Profit Machines).
All of the above autoblogging software programs come with both PDF guides and video tutorials. This makes it easy to understand and user friendly.
If the software if buggy… constantly crashing or locking up your computer, get a refund. You want a plug-n-play set-up. I want it to work as soon as I unzip it!
